The Gospel Meeting, led by the esteemed speaker Mr. Arul Prakasham, was an enriching experience. The Children’s Christmas Program is a heartwarming celebration where Sunday School children bring the nativity story to life through a beautiful play, portraying the birth of Christ with reverence and joy. Tirupattur IELC Blind School, a true testament to faith, resilience, and the

Through their God-given talents, these musicians filled the evening with melodies
of hope, love, and devotion. It was a truly inspiring experience, reminding us of
the strength found in unity and faith. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined

As part of the Centenary Celebrations of our beloved Church, a Free Medical
Camp was conducted on August 15th 2024 with the aim of serving the physical
well-being of the community. This initiative was a meaningful expression of
the church’s mission to extend care and compassion to all, beyond its walls.
The camp provided general health check-ups, blood pressure and sugar
level screening, Electrocardiogram (ECG), Eye test and medical consultations
by qualified healthcare professionals from Dr. Mehta's Hospitals. Nearly 100
individuals, including both church members and non-members from the surrounding
community, were greatly benefited by the services offered. This effort created
a platform for outreach, bringing people together in the spirit of love, service,
and wellness.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr.Mehta's Hospitals, whose partnership
brought life to this noble initiative. Their team of compassionate doctors and
healthcare professionals went beyond duty, offering care with warmth and dedication.
Their presence not only ensured the success of the medical camp but also reflected
the true spirit of community service during this milestone moment in our church’s
centenary journey.
As part of the Centenary Year Celebration, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is honored
to have organized a special event for all Elders' Groups in the Chennai Circle. We
were blessed to witness the heartfelt participation of churches across the Chennai
Circle, who joined us along with their esteemed elders, making this occasion truly
memorable. With grace and unity, the event was conducted beautifully, fostering
fellowship and strengthening our bond in faith.

Celebrating 100 Years of Grace and Mission
As we gather to commemorate the 100th year of our church, we, the youth, stand in
awe of the legacy of faith and service that has been passed down through generations.
This milestone is a testament to the unwavering commitment of those who came before
us, who built not just walls but a foundation of hope, love, and faith in Christ.
For us, the youth, this centennial celebration is both an inspiration and a call
to action. We are reminded of the power of faith to transform lives and the importance
of community in nurturing spiritual growth. It is our responsibility to carry
forward this legacy, bringing fresh energy and ideas while staying rooted in the
teachings of Christ.
As we celebrate, we also envision a future where the church remains a beacon of
light, a place where the broken find healing, the lost find direction, and the
faithful find strength. We commit ourselves to serving with passion, worshipping
with sincerity, and sharing the Gospel with boldness.

In commemoration of the centenary celebrations, the Sunday School joyfully
hosted its Centenary Retreat, gathering children from across the churches
of the Ambur Synod. United under the inspiring theme of God’s Love, the
retreat served as a faith - enriching gathering to nurture young hearts in
fellowship, and the abiding grace of the Lord.
The event witnessed the gracious participation of approximately 135
individuals, encompassing 72 enthusiastic students, 3 esteemed Pastors,
18 dedicated Teachers, 4 diligent Superintendents, 4 honorable Judges,
and 35 supportive parents from Pilgrim Lutheran Church (Choolaimedu),
St.Mark Lutheran Church (T.R. Palayam), St.Thomas Lutheran Church (Gudiyatham)
St.Thomas Lutheran Church (Teynampet), Vaanmalar Lutheran Church (Teynampet)
and our very own congregation, all coming together in unity and purpose
to make the occasion truly remarkable.
A series of enriching competitions were organized to engage participants
across various age groups. The Bible verse recitation competition, drawn from
the Book of Psalms, featured categories for Beginners, Primary, Junior,
Intermediate, and Senior levels, and was thoughtfully judged by Mrs. Amenda
Vidya Stanley and Mrs. Dheena Jayakumar. Complementing this, a singing competition
inspired by the event's theme ‘God’s Love’, based on selections from the IELC Hymnal,
saw spirited participation across the same categories and was evaluated by Mrs. Stella
Jayakaran and Mrs. Vidhyarani Meshak Samuel. To further inspire creativity, a drawing
competition was held, inviting participants to illustrate the Love of Jesus based
on reflections from the Gospel according to St. Mark, with Mrs. Stella Jayakaran
and Mrs. Vidhyarani Meshak Samuel serving as judges. Additionally, a Bible quiz
from the Gospel according to St. Luke challenged the knowledge and understanding
of Junior, Intermediate, and Senior participants, fostering deeper engagement
with the Scriptures and joyful learning.
The Sunday school centenary retreat stood as a testament to the enduring
grace of God and the vibrant fellowship among the children. Through heartfelt
participation in every activity, from scripture recitations to creative expressions
of faith, the event not only celebrated the rich legacy of our church but also
kindled a renewed spiritual zeal among all generations. As we look ahead, may
the seeds sown during this blessed gathering continue to flourish, strengthening
our unity in Christ and inspiring us to walk faithfully in His love.
On October 11, 2024, the Women’s Fellowship of our church joyfully hosted a
spiritually enriching Women’s Fellowship Retreat, inviting churches from
across the Ambur Synod to come together in fellowship, learning, and healthy
competition.
The retreat aimed to strengthen bonds among women from various congregations,
while encouraging their active participation in spiritual growth. The day was
filled with enthusiasm and sisterhood, featuring a series of interactive and
thought-provoking events including Bible Quiz, Debate and Liturgy Competition
The event witnessed active participation from several churches across ambur
synod, creating a vibrant and united atmosphere. It was a blessed time of learning,
sharing, and spiritual upliftment for every woman who attended.
The retreat not only provided a platform for showcasing talents and biblical wisdom
but also deepened the spiritual unity among the participants.
